| Empire Attack Clans |
In Empire Attack clan games, a group of players can form a clan and play for a single empire.
A player can only be a member of one clan at a time, but a clan can contain any number of players.
However no more than 5 clan members can be playing for the same empire in a given game
at any time - this restriction is to prevent large clans from being able to completely dominate smaller clans. If
a 6th clan member tries to play, and one of the current players has been inactive for over 30 minutes, then the new
player will be allowed to take the place of the old one, who will then need to rejoin the game in order to play
again.
The player who creates a clan becomes the clan leader, and is able to invite more players to join the clan. The
invitation is sent by email so the players must have submitted a valid email address when signing up for Empire Attack.
The email invitation contains a code which allows the player to join the clan, provided they are not already a member
of another clan - if they are then they will have to leave that clan first before accepting the invitation. Invitations
will expire 3 days after being issued.
The clan leader is also able to transfer leadership to any other clan member, remove members from the clan, or
disband the clan completely. Disbanding removes all members from the clan, including the leader, and abandons any
games the clan is currently playing. The leader may re-activate a disbanded clan at a later date, and can then re-invite
players into the clan, but the clan will no longer control any of the empires it owned before being disbanded.
Non-leaders can quit from the clan at any time, and can rejoin provided their invitation has not expired. Otherwise
they will have to request a new invitation from the clan leader.
Items purchased in the Empire Store are owned by the whole clan, not by individual players. The budget is also owned by the
clan, so diamonds mined by one member can be spent by any other member of the same clan.
Similarly, when playing a clan game any achievements, awards, and skillpoints are given to the clan as a whole.
There are separate leaderboard, statistics, and achievement pages for clan play.
